The CBD flower variety Sixty8 Jack Herer bears the name of an entrepreneur who started his glass pipe business back in 1973. He was a so-called "cannabis activist". There's even a documentary about his life called The Hemp Emperor. As an activist, he fought for the decriminalisation of the cannabis plant, convinced that it could be used as a renewable source of fuel, medicine, food, fibre and paper. Mostly, however, he wanted to prove that cannabis could be grown for medicinal purposes in virtually any part of the world. The annual Jack Herer Cup in Amsterdam, Colombia, Jamaica, Las Vegas, Oklahoma and Thailand in honour of the worldwide movement to legalise cannabis, which Jack Herer himself was part of.
