The active substance CBD from cannabis is legal in Slovakia as of 1 May 2021. On this exceptional day, a well-publicised amendment from the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic came into force, which permanently removed cannabidiol from the list of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. This means, in other words, that Slovaks no longer have to worry about violating legislation when using CBD products. Rules for the production, sale and trade of Cannabidiol will be brought about by the announced legislation from the European Union, which will talk about a new type of food - Novel Food.
